Now we're going to continue in this drawing and
00:06
check for clashes between the storm and sanitary networks
00:11
from prospector under networks. Right? Click on interference checks
00:16
and choose create interference check
00:20
in the drawing. Pick a part on the storm network
00:24
and then pick a part on the sanitary network
00:28
in the crate interference check dialogue.
00:31
Click on 3d proximity check criteria
00:34
apply, 3D proximity check should be selected,
00:39
the used distance should be set to 1 ft.
00:42
This will check for parts that are closer together than 1 ft.
00:47
Click. OK?
00:49
And then click. OK. Again,
00:52
civil 3D will run the interference check
00:56
and then display a message
00:58
showing how many interferences were found
01:01
in prospector. Select the newly created interference check
01:06
in the item list view.
01:07
Click on the first interference,
01:10
right click and choose zoom to
01:14
review the interference.
01:17
Repeat this for the second interference check
01:22
this time there's not a hard clash but it's a proximity clash.
01:28
You could now adjust the networks to remove the interferences.
01:32
Now we'll create a table in the drawing from our storm network
01:37
from the annotate ribbon tab
01:39
labels and tables panel,
01:40
click on add tables
01:43
then pipe network
01:45
then add structure
01:48
in the structure table dialogue set the table style to structure with pipes
01:55
by network is selected and the network should be set to storm one
02:00
click. OK. To create the table
02:03
place the table in the drawing away from the design.
02:07
The table displays the structural information
02:10
as well as details of both the incoming and outgoing pipes.
02:16
Note that the structures are not displayed in any order
02:21
to sort the table, select it then right click and choose edit table style
02:28
in the table style on the data properties, tab,
02:31
select sort data
02:33
and ensure the sorting column is set to one
02:36
and then click. OK.
02:39
The table in the drawing is now sorted properly.
02:43
Finally, we'll create a report from our networks
02:48
in the tool space. Click on the toolbox tab,
02:51
expand reports manager,
02:54
then expand pipes,
02:57
select the pipes and structures report
02:60
right click choose, execute
03:03
in the export to
03:04
XML dialogue, deselect everything,
03:07
then scroll down
03:09
and select pipe networks
03:12
and then click OK.
03:15
Set the report type to html
03:18
and enter a name for the report.
03:21
Quick. Save
03:23
the report should open in a web browser.
03:28
It contains information about the structures and pipes
03:32
for both the storm and sanitary networks.
