Type:
Tutorial
Length:
2 min.
Transcript
00:03
In the Fusion Drawing workspace, once you create a base view,
00:08
you can generate multiple orthographic projected views.
00:12
These 2D projections of your model can be created from different viewpoints,
00:16
providing additional representations of your design.
00:19
Begin in the Drawing workspace with a base view of your design already created.
00:25
The base view is the starting point and determines the orientation of the projected views.
00:31
On the Drawing toolbar, click Create > Projected View, and then select the base view to use for the projection.
00:40
Now, drag your pointer to the right, left, top, or bottom of the base view to see a preview of each projected view.
00:50
As you do, you can see that the view is dependent on the direction in which you drag your pointer.
00:57
Click to place the projected view.
00:59
Here, a view is placed below and to the right of the base view.
01:04
Once you have placed your views, right-click the sheet and select OK to generate the 2D renderings.
01:10
By default, your projected views inherit the preferences and settings of the base view.
01:16
You can also create a projected view from another projected view.
01:21
Click Projected View, and this time, select the projected view that you just created as the parent view.
01:28
Drag your pointer to the right again, and then click to place the second projected view.
01:35
Click Create and continue to confirm the placement.
01:40
The additional projected view is generated.
01:43
Now you know how to generate orthographic projected views
01:47
to create technical drawings that include multiple 2D views of your design.
