00:08
to save time in project creation and to ensure consistency in organizing and managing projects.
00:15
Begin with ACC open to the welcome screen and your project template already created.
00:21
Select the Projects tab, and then click Create project.
00:26
In the Create project dialog, enter the project information, including the project name and number, the account, and the project type.
00:36
Now, expand the Template drop-down, where you see both published and unpublished templates.
00:42
Published templates are available to everyone, while unpublished templates are only available to template members.
00:49
In this case, select Civil Template, and then click Create Project.
00:55
On the Members page, you can adjust member settings as you would for any project, such as assigning products.
01:01
In this case, the Civil Template applied to the project contains two members that were recently added.
01:08
However, those members are not shown here yet, because when working in the cloud, this information can take several minutes to load.
01:16
Next, expand the product picker and select Docs to review the directory structure for the project.
01:22
The first time you access Docs in a new project, you see the Welcome screen, where you need to select the project to open the Files tool.
01:30
Now, you can see the directory structure associated with the selected template.
01:35
Select the Typical folder.
01:38
Here, the files included with the template have been pre-loaded into the project.
01:43
Next to the Project Files folder, click More and select Permission settings.
01:50
Here, you can see the role-based permissions associated with the template.
01:55
If needed, you can further edit these at the project level.
01:60
Now you know how to apply a template to a new project in ACC.
