Project | Design for injection molding
Create a saw trigger model that can be injection molded using Fusion.
Module overview
Get hands-on with a project that lets you apply your part modeling and sketching skills with exercises that work towards design mold core and cavities for various injection molded designs.
Project scenario:
A customer has asked your company to create a version of a power tool trigger that can be drafted from a specific direction while following injection molding best practices. The provided part can be pulled in the X direction and is a solid part and the customer would like a consistent walled version to be pulled in the Y direction. Project guidelines are provided but you may need to search for injection molding best practices.
After completing this project, you'll be able to:
- Review a design.
- Create fully detailed model with draft.
- Use Draft Analysis.
