Use NC Program to create code for milling

Outputting an optimized NC Code file for your CNC Machine.

00:03

Once you create an NC Program to organize toolpaths from several setups into one CNC machine program group,

00:10

you can then create the NC output for your machine using an NC program operation.

00:17

From the Browser, right-click an NC program and select Post Process.

00:22

If your selection has multiple work offsets,

00:25

you may see a warning that your post and machine control need to support multiple work offsets to generate the correct output.

00:32

This warning is not an error, but is simply informative.

00:37

Click OK to dismiss the message.

00:40

You may need to overwrite a previous post.

00:44

Once complete, a success message provides the path to the file location and a link to view the NC code in your editor.

00:52

Click the link to open the file in the editor.

00:56

For the Face Top toolpath, you have the G54 fixture offset.

01:01

Scrolling down to the Face Bottom, you have the G55 fixture offset.

01:07

Further down, you can see that the tool for the Rough operation changes back to the G54 offset.

01:14

Based on a quick review, the program looks good, so there is nothing that needs to be done.

01:21

If you need to manually move the program to the machine, this is a good time to save it directly to a flash drive.
