In this example, the main driveline assembly from an Autodesk ember printer is used.

To ensure the correct orientation of the carriage plate assembly, you can place some constraints.

To begin, from the Quick Access Toolbar, click Open.

Select Ember-LD-ASM_003.iam, and then click Open.

To add constraints, right-click the drawing to open the marking menu and select Constraint.

Select the center line of the threaded rod, and then select the center line of the nut component to place a mate constraint.

In the Place Constraint dialog, click Apply to apply the constraint and leave the dialog open.

To place another constraint, in the Place Constraint dialog, set the Type to Angle.

Select the top base of the carriage plate, and then select the top face of the end mounting block.
