Hanging across to the
00:05
wall in the atrium.
00:07
We'd like to create a slightly more random pattern
00:10
using a different type of glazing within this curtain wall here.
00:16
So we'll select one of the panels again by
00:18
hovering over it and then using the tab key
00:20
to cycle through and then click to select it.
00:23
And we can see that it's the system panel glaze type
00:27
and we'll click edit type
00:28
to access the type properties here and then duplicate to create the new one
00:33
and we'll name this one bronze glazed
00:36
and then click OK to create that new type.
00:40
Looking at the material parameter, we can see it's currently set to be glass.
00:44
So we'll click on this and then from the ellipses button,
00:46
we'll open up the material browser
00:49
in the list of project materials. We can see the glass material.
00:52
And beneath that, we have the glass bronze glazing material.
00:57
So we'll select this
00:58
and then click OK to assign that onto our new panel type
01:03
just beneath the material parameter. We can see we have a parameter for thickness.
01:07
So it also change this to be two inches thick
01:11
and then click OK to create that new bronze glazing panel type
01:16
and then that's assigned into the panel that we had selected as well.
01:21
So now to assign these into the other panels,
01:24
we could select them one at a time and change them from the type selector.
01:29
But a slightly easier method is to use the match type properties tool.
01:33
So we'll go up to the modify run tab
01:36
and then from the clipboard panel, we can choose the match type properties tool
01:43
looking at the cursor. Now, we can see the paint brush next to it is actually white
01:47
and this means we now need to select the object that we want to match from.
01:51
So again, we'll go over to our bronze glaze panel that we've just created.
01:55
We may need to use the tab key to highlight it, but then we'll click to select it.
01:60
And now we can see the paintbrush has turned black
02:02
and it's ready to now paint around the other panels.
02:05
So
02:05
we can just go over to those panels.
02:07
And each time we click, they'll be changed into the bronze glazing panel type.
02:12
We can just carry on through
02:14
and create the random pattern that we're looking for
02:19
and this will work on other curtain walls as well.
02:21
So if I pan across to the tower, now we can see we have the curtain wall here
02:26
and whilst the tool is still active, so we can see the paint brush is still black here.
02:30
We can click on these panels and these will
02:32
also be turned into the bronze glazing panels.
02:35
So again, we can create a random pattern on this curtain wall.
02:41
So I'll choose modify to finish the match type properties tool
02:45
and that completes the work that we need to carry out to the curtain walls.
