Productization, DfMA, and sustainability

Course overview

Explore the concept of productization, design for manufacture and assembly (DfMA) and DATA for manufacture and assembly with emphasis on linkage of these concepts with other elements of the House of Industrialized Construction (IC). The House of Industrialized Construction is enabled by process and technology enablers. Special emphasis will be given to the built environment lifecycle by explaining the integration of the Design-Build-Operate frameworks through industrialized supply chain and lifecycle data. You will learn the benefits of productization and DfMA holistically in the context of sustainability and circularity in Industrialized Construction. After completing this course, you will be able to:

  • Explain productization in the context of Industrialized Construction and its links to other elements of the House of Industrialized Construction.
  • Identify strategies for integration of the Design-Build-Operate frameworks through  industrialized supply chain and lifecycle data.
  • Analyze the benefits of productization and DfMA for the Industrialized Construction value chain.
  • Evaluate the links between energy efficiency, sustainability, and circularity and Industrialized Construction.
