Account management basics
Create an account
If you don't already have an Autodesk account, you can easily create one, either from your software when you start it for the first time or from your browser.
When you start your Autodesk software for the first time, you'll see an authentication screen with the title of Let's Get Started. There, you'll choose to sign in with an Autodesk ID, a serial number, or a network license.
Choose the correct option:
Select Autodesk ID if your subscription confirmation email did not include a serial number or product key. This is the most common option.
You’ll be directed to the Autodesk sign-in page, where you can:
Sign in with your existing Autodesk account.
Create a new account if you’re new to Autodesk.
Continue with a third-party provider, such as Google, Apple, Microsoft, or Facebook.
If you use a third-party provider, an Autodesk account will be created automatically and you’ll be signed in.
If you already have an Autodesk account, sign in using the same email and password you originally used. This helps prevent creating duplicate accounts.
Select Serial number if you have a serial number or product key. If you don't already have an account, you'll see the option to create one.
Select Network license if you use a network server to manage licenses. If unsure, ask your administrator for the server name to enter for the license.
For a simpler way to sign in, you can also set up a passkey for your Autodesk account. A passkey lets you sign in without entering your password. Learn how to set up and use a passkey.
