00:06
navigate to your Autodesk Fusion Team hub by visiting login.autodesk360.com.
00:13
Once you are logged in, select Machine Connect.
00:17
Please note, this only appears if you have a Machine Connect license assigned to the owner of the team hub.
00:24
A Machine Connect welcome message displays that summarizes the three-step process.
00:29
Click Start to connect your first machine.
00:33
On the Create Machine Profile page, enter information about the machine you would like to connect.
00:39
First, add an image that represents your machine.
00:42
Then, in the Name field, enter a name for the machine.
00:47
All other fields are optional, but in this example, the machine’s location is also entered.
00:53
Once you have entered all the information you want, click Create.
00:57
In this first step, you must designate the purpose for the connection,
01:02
and there are two types: data collection and file transfer.
01:07
Expand the drop-down and specify the purpose of the connection.
01:12
In this instance, Data collection is chosen.
01:16
Click Next.
01:18
Here, you need to set up a Machine Connect Gateway, which, once installed,
01:22
handles the communication with your machine tools.
01:25
In the Name field, enter a name for the gateway.
01:29
Optionally, you can also enter a description.
01:33
Then, click Next.
01:35
Here, a message indicates the requirements of the install of the on-premises software.
01:40
Be sure to read this information carefully.
01:43
You will need to run the Machine Connect Gateway on a Windows PC that is always on
01:49
and can communicate with your machine tools.
01:52
This could be your current machine, or a different device, such as a server.
01:57
Often, it is your shop floor computer.
02:00
When you are ready to perform the install, click Download software.
02:05
Then, follow the installation instructions on the desired PC.
02:10
Once the Machine Connect Gateway installation has been completed,
02:14
the next step is to connect the shop floor computer to your Fusion Team hub.
02:18
To do so, click Copy Gateway Settings.
02:23
Then, paste the settings into the Machine Connect Gateway.
02:28
Copy the registration key and paste this into your Machine Connect Gateway as well.

02:42
Once the Machine Connect Gateway is connected, the Gateway status shows as Connected and you can click Finish.
02:50
A success message displays.
02:54
Now, to connect your machine profiles to a CNC machine, click Connect machine.
03:01
You are prompted to choose the purpose of the first connection.
03:05
Again, you can choose either data collection or file transfer.
03:10
Here, Data collection is selected.
03:13
Click Next.
03:15
Now, expand the Gateway drop-down and specify which connector to use for connecting the machine profile to the CNC machine.
03:24
Click Next.
03:26
Enter the connection information for your machine control,
03:29
including machine controller, connection type, connection address, and connection port.
03:37
When you have selected the appropriate connection type,
03:40
additional options will appear.
03:43
Once you have completed entering the details, click Next.
03:47
The machine is now connected.
03:50
With the machine connected, you can set up file transfer.
03:55
From the Machine page, File Transfer section, select Set up connection.
04:00
The Connecting page for your machine appears.
04:04
