Create an iLogic form to automate the configuration of a wheel assembly.

In this tutorial, you create a form to automate the configuration of a wheel assembly.

To start, from the Quick Access Toolbar, click Projects.

In the Projects dialog, click Browse, navigate to where the project files are saved,

and select Wheel Assembly start data set.ipj, and then click Open.

In the Projects dialog, click Done.

From the Quick Access Toolbar, click Open.

Select WheelAssembly_Configured.iam, and then click Open.

On the ribbon, Manage tab, iLogic panel, expand the drop-down and select Add Form.

Name the new form Wheel Configuration and click OK.

In the Form Editor, begin the form by dragging the WheelSize Parameter under the Wheel Configuration Label.

Then drag both the NumberOfSpokes and Slot parameters into the configuration.

From the Toolbox, continue defining the form by dragging an Empty Space, a Splitter, and another Empty Space into the configuration.

Complete the form by dragging the TotalPrice Parameter to the bottom.

You can see the form update in real time as you build it.

Select WheelSize in the listing below Wheel Configuration.

In the Properties, Name section, add a space to the corresponding Label listing to update the diplay name in the form.

Repeat this process for the NumberOfSpokes entry, and the TotalPrice entry., then click OK to complete the form.

In the iLogic browser, open the new form by selecting it in the Forms tab.

You can now dynamically update the wheel assembly based on what you enter into the form.

Apply a Wheel Size of 22, set the Number Of Spokes to 5, and check the Slot box for True.

Note that a green or blue arrow appears showing where the new parameter will appear in the form.
