When working in Autodesk Point Layout, you can create a DXF file either during the export process or by using the Create DXF tool.

Note that you should save any changes to your project before creating a DXF, as it reduces file size and can be time-consuming.

With a project open, the first way to create a DXF file is to right-click in the model space and select Point Layout > Export Points.

Then, in the General Options group, select the Export DXF file option before exporting.

The second way to create a DXF file is to right-click in the model space, and select Point Layout > Tools > Create DXF.

The DxfWizard will take you through a series of steps, with valuable information at each one.

It is strongly recommended that you perform an audit for any potential errors.

You also have the option to detach any XREFs that you do not want shown,
