Transcript
00:03
To prepare for running an ambient room temperature simulation in Autodesk CFD,
00:08
you must specify the physical characteristics of the model.
00:12
This includes assigning materials to model parts, such as assigning a material of concrete to a floor.
00:19
To start, press CTRL and middle click the Air part to hide it.
00:24
Left-click to select the floor.
00:26
Then, on the ribbon, in the Setup tab, Materials panel, click Edit.
00:32
The Materials quick edit dialog opens, where you can select the material type.
00:38
For this example, under Property settings, click the Type value to expand the drop-down, and select Solid.
00:45
Next, expand the Name drop-down and select Concrete.
00:50
Click Apply.
00:51
To verify that the concrete material is properly assigned, in the Design Study Bar, confirm the material assignment for the Concrete part.
01:00
Then, in the graphics window, ensure that the color of the floor part now matches the Concrete color in the legend.
01:08
With this material assigned, you are ready to move on to the next step of preparing your model for a CFD simulation.
