00:03
In the Project Browser or directly in the scene, you can drag and drop to quickly sort project scans into multi-level groups.
00:11
By organizing the scan data into specific categories, understanding and navigating a project becomes more intuitive and efficient.
00:19
You can then sync your scan groups bidirectionally between ReCap Pro and the ReCap Cloud Viewer.
00:25
To create scan groups in the cloud viewer, from the Project Browser, click Add Scan Group, and then enter a group name.
00:36
A new scan group appears as a subgroup of All Scans.
00:40
From within a group, you can click Add Scan Group again to create additional nested sub-groups.
00:47
Drag and drop scans into each group as needed.
00:52
Press and hold CTRL to select multiple scans at a time.
00:56
Once scan groups are created, you can click on any scan group to navigate to its location,
01:02
or use Search to quickly find a specific scan group.
01:07
Click the More button next to any scan group to rename, isolate, or delete groups.
01:14
To focus on a specific area, select Isolate scan group;
01:20
or click the Eye icon to hide or display specific scans.
01:26
In this example of one floor of a building, the scans have been grouped based on the different rooms available in this data set.
01:33
This project has already been published, but you want to make some changes to the group structure in ReCap Pro.
01:40
Drag and drop the cubical space groups to create a Cubicle Spaces group with two nested sub-groups to better organize this space.
01:49
Once you have cleaned up your data, you can publish the changes.
01:53
From the Home menu, select Publish.
01:58
You can choose to just publish the Cubicle Spaces scans or leave all scans selected, as in this example.
02:05
Then, click Update.
02:08
Now, switch to ACC Docs and open the RCP project in the ReCap Viewer.
02:15
You can see that the cubicle groups have synced to match the changes you made.
02:19
If needed, you can make further changes in the viewer and sync them back to ReCap.
02:24
In this case, create a new group called “Level 1”, then drag and drop all scans into this top-level group.
02:34
Back in Recap Pro, from the Home menu, expand Publish, and then select Sync.
02:43
In your Project Navigator, the new Level 1 group appears, allowing you to toggle the visibility of the entire group.
02:51
You can now import new scans with a cleaner approach, such as adding a Level 2 above Level 1.
