Transcript

In FlexSim, you can modify the visual representation of objects within your 3D model
00:09
using the Change Visual activity in your process flow.
00:13
This helps you to enhance, customize, and make distinctions for visualizations within your simulation.
00:20
In the example shown, a simple task sequence creates, moves, and then destroys 3D objects in the model
00:28
as they move from one Queue to the other.
00:31
If you want to adjust the visual for the 3D object during the task sequence,
00:35
you can do so by using a Change Visual activity in the ProcessFlow.
00:39
In the Library, under Visuals, select the Change Visual activity,
00:45
drag it into your ProcessFlow, and then add it to the task sequence between Move Object and Delay.
00:52
Now, in the Change Visual Quick Properties click Add, and then use the drop-down to select how you want the visual to change.
01:02
In this case, select Set Object Color.
01:06
In the Set Object Color dialog, expand the Object drop-down
01:12
and select Labels to select your Object—here, MyItem.
01:18
For Color, the default is set to randomly apply a color.
01:22
To change this, simply expand the Color drop-down, then select the appropriate option.
01:28
In this example, select Color to choose a specific color, such as Lime.
01:35
Reset and Run the simulation.
01:38
You can see that a blue box arrives at Queue1 and then moves to Queue2, where the visual changes to lime.
01:46
Stop the simulation.
01:48
Now you can use the Change Visual activity in your process flow to adjust object visuals within your 3D model.
