Back in the page setup manager,

00:06

you can see that the A size PDF page setup you just created now appears in the list,

00:12

select it

00:14

and then click set current to make it the

00:16

current page set up for the furniture plan layout.

00:20

As soon as you do, the layout changes slightly.

00:24

And in the page setups group box,

00:26

you can see that the current page setup is set to the A size PDF page setup.

00:32

Click close to close the page set up manager.

00:36

You can see that since the plot style table is part of the A size PDF page setup,

00:42

that plot style table has also been applied to this layout.

00:46

So everything now appears in black and white,

00:48

which is also how this layout will print.

00:52

Now that you have saved a named page setup.

00:55

You can apply that page set up to the details layout.

00:59

Switch to the details layout.

01:02

You can see that this is also an A size sheet.

01:06

It uses the same T block and already includes a door jam detail

01:10

in a viewport set to a scale of three inches equals 1 ft

01:15

at present. The title block border is very close to the left margin of the paper.

01:22

Right, click the details layout tab and select page setup manager

01:27

to open the page setup manager dialogue.

01:30

You can see that the named page setup you created appears in the page setups, list,

01:36

select a size PDF and then click set current

01:40

to apply that same page set up to the details layout.

01:45

When you do the layout changes slightly,

01:48

you can see that the border is now positioned further away from the left margin.

01:52

And in the page setups group box,

01:54

you can see that a size PDF is now the current page setup.

01:60

When you close the page set up manager dialogue,

02:03

the details layout also now appears in black and white

02:07

because the monochrome plot style table has also been applied to this layout.

02:13

Since named page setups are saved as part of a drawing.

02:16

If you create named page setups,

02:19

you should save them as part of the template file.

02:22

That way when you start a new drawing, the named page setup will already exist.
