In Civil 3D, you can create points at specific coordinates with the Point Creation Tools,

with options to set custom styles and point identities.

With a new drawing started, from the Home tab, in the Ground Data panel, expand the Points drop-down list.

Select Create Points – Miscellaneous, and then click Manual.

These same commands can also be accessed through Point Creation Tools.

The command line prompts you to specify a location for a new point.

Click a location in the drawing to insert the point.

To create a point or points at specific coordinates, from the status bar, enable Dynamic Input.
