In this activity, you will add center marks and center mark patterns to your drawing.

Prerequisites

  • If you've not completed "Create drawing views", download and open main-pump-body-drawing-activity-2.f3z to continue.

Steps-by-step:

  1. Add a Centerline to Section View A-A.

    1. Select the Centerline command
    2. In Section View A-A select the two horizontal parallel lines.
    3. Select the right endpoint of the new centerline and drag it to the right side of the part.
  2. Add center marks to holes.

    1. Select the Center Mark command.
    2. In the Base View, select the large cutouts in the center of the part.
    3. In the Projected View, select all the holes.
    4. Repeat the previous step for Section View B-B and the Detail View.
  3. Add a Center Mark Pattern.

    1. Select the Center Mark Pattern command.
    2. Select the top-left hole on the Base View.
    3. Select the top hole then the top-right hole.
    4. Right click and click OK in the Marking Menu.
    5. Repeat the previous two steps for the holes on the bottom of the Base View.
