Adjust point display options in Point Layout for Navisworks

Adjust the size, color, and descriptions of points in a 3D model.

The Point Layout for Navisworks add-in provides several options for adjusting the display of points within your 3D model.

For example, you can change the size, color, and descriptions of specific sets of points.

With your model open in Navisworks, on the ribbon, select the Add-ins tab.

Then, click Autodesk Point Layout.

To change the size or scale of points, in the Point Layout dialog, click Set Scale.

Then, in the Scale Form dialog, click Filter to open the Search Filter dialog.

Here, you can specify the exact points that you want to resize, such as by description or point number.

Click Apply, and then OK.

Back in the Scale Form dialog, you see a list of the filtered points.

Expand the Scale drop-down, specify the new scale, and then click OK.

To change the color of points, in the Point Layout dialog, click Set Color, and again, filter to the specified points.

In the Color Form dialog, click Color, specify the new color, and then click OK.

you can also use the Edit Points tool to modify point numbers, descriptions, scales, and XYZ coordinates.

Select the point again, and you see in Properties that the description is updated.
