Purge nested items, unnamed objects, and all unused items

Include nested items, unnamed objects, and all unreferenced items in purge operation.

00:03

To bypass the step of purging multiple times to get nested items,

00:07

check the purge nested items box in the options section.

00:11

Make sure all items are selected at the top level and click on purge checked items.

00:16

This time,

00:17

you'll see that the three categories that

00:19

had nested items are now completely purged.

00:22

Let's close the purge dialogue and we'll run

00:24

the revert the drawing trick with undo back

00:27

and yes, to get our items back,

00:29

run purge again and make sure nothing is selected in the items tree.

00:33

And that purge nested items is checked

00:35

to save yet another step.

00:37

If you intend to purge all, there's no need to select the top level,

00:41

just click on the purge all button. And

00:43

as long as purge nested is on it will get everything for you.

00:48

We've seen the top two options in action already, but there are three others.

00:52

You can have the command purge zero length geometry,

00:55

text or MT text that contains only spaces

00:58

or orphaned data, which is actually obsolete DG

01:02

in line styles. Personally, I leave them all checked.

01:05

If there are none of the first two,

01:07

they will be grayed out.

01:08

Click on purge checked items again

01:10

and the zero

01:11

LTH and empty text will gray out but stay checked.
