00:04
The two blue circles in the drawing represent the existing fire hydrants.
00:10
And we're going to draw a pipe network to represent the existing network
00:15
from surveys.
00:16
We've been told that the existing pressure pipe network has a 6 ft cover distance
00:22
from the existing ground level.
00:24
And we've been given the layout of the pipes represented by the dashed red line
00:30
to start drawing the pipe run.
00:32
We're going to right click on pressure networks from within the prospector tab
00:37
and click create pressure network by layout,
00:41
we can then name the pressure network.
00:46
Pick a parts list,
00:48
choose a reference surface
00:50
and add the 6 ft cover level.
00:53
We can then click OK. To start drawing the network,
00:58
we click once to start a pipe
01:01
and then wants to add a new joint.
01:04
As you'll notice you're restricted to the angles that you can draw pipes at
01:09
these angles are determined by the joints that you have within your parts list.
01:16
When we get to the curve,
01:18
we can type C and press enter which will then allow us to draw a curve.
01:23
We then click once to set the start angle
01:28
and we click again
01:29
for the end of the pipe,
01:32
we can then press s which will then allow us to go back to drawing straight pipes.
01:40
Once we've finished our pipe run, we can press enter to finish the run.
