You may find that you have added a number of individual multi
00:07
leaders that all refer back to the same point in the drawing.
00:12
This can result in a cluttered and confusing drawing.
00:15
You can clean this up by selecting several multi liters that contain blocks,
00:20
collecting them into rows or columns
00:23
and then displaying the results with a single leader line
00:28
to collect multi leaders
00:30
on the annotate ribbon
00:31
in the leaders panel, click the collect tool.
00:35
The program prompts you to select multi leaders,
00:39
select the multi leaders you would like to collect.
00:43
Although you can use any convenient object selection method,
00:47
the order in which you select the
00:49
multi leaders determines their order once collected.
00:53
So you may want to select each multi leader individually in the desired order
00:59
for this exercise, select them in numerical order.
01:07
Also be aware that the program will only select multi leaders that contain blocks.
01:13
Multi leaders with text content will be ignored
01:17
when you are finished selecting objects.
01:19
Right click or press, enter
01:23
the program prompts you to specify the collected multi leader location.
01:27
And there are three options,
01:29
vertical, horizontal and wrap.
01:33
The current option appears on the command line inside angle brackets.
01:38
And in the drawing window,
01:40
you see a preview of how the multi leaders will be collected
01:44
with the horizontal options selected.
01:47
When you specify the leader location,
01:49
the multi leaders are collected into a horizontal row and
01:53
appear in the order in which they were selected.
01:56
And the command ends
01:60
on the quick access toolbar, click undo to reverse the previous command.
02:06
Then start the collect tool again.
02:10
When the program prompts you to select multi leaders
02:13
use a crossing window to select the four multi leaders
02:17
and then right click to complete your selection.
02:21
Again, the program prompts you to specify the collected multi leader location.
02:26
And you see a preview of how they will appear using the current option.
02:31
Right click and select vertical.
02:35
The preview immediately changes because the program is
02:38
now collecting the blocks into a vertical column.
02:42
Click to specify the collected multi leader location.
02:46
Since you selected the multi leaders using a crossing window,
02:50
the blocks are arranged with the most recently
02:53
created multi leader at the top of the column
02:56
and the command ends.
