Water quality analysis using InfoWorks ICM
Course overview
Once a hydraulic model has been built, InfoWorks ICM can be used to create water quality simulations. Learn how to simulate the buildup of sediment in the network and the movement of sediment and determinants through the drainage system during a rainfall event.
After completing this course, you'll learn how to:
- Utilize QM parameters to control how sediment, conservative, and non-conservative pollutants act within a hydraulic model.
- Describe pollutants so that they indicate the aspect that you are measuring, the specific pollutant, and its constituent form.
- Set up a water quality model using a number of methods that introduce pollutants into the system, such as wastewater, trade waste, washoff, and more.
- Calculate erosion and deposition in pipes using three different models.
- Model how non-conservative determinants behave in water systems, including their degradation over time, as well as their reaction with other substances.
