Optimize factory layouts using ProModel and Factory Design Utilities

Course overview

Having completed the design of a factory layout using Factory Design Utilities with AutoCAD and Inventor, this course will demonstrate the value of using ProModel and Process Simulator Autodesk Editions to help optimize your factory layout by coordinating manufacturing processes to reduce inefficiencies and achieve your required production throughput.

After completing this course, you should be able to:
  • Understand the value of using ProModel Simulation for process optimization
  • Create a simulation model with Factory Design Utilities that opens directly in AutoCAD or Inventor to start a factory layout
  • Create a simulation model from an existing layout
  • Identify when factory layout optimization can be most impactful
