Test your knowledge and apply what you have learned about sketching to create a coaster for your tumbler. The practice exercise is accompanied by a dataset to work through the example.The solution is also provided.

You will be creating a sketch for a 3d printable coaster

in the document settings change the default units to inches [millimeters] if not already

save the design file as Tumbler Coaster

in the assemble group, create a new component and name it coaster.

Select the new sketch tool and the create group.

Choose the xy plane

from the create group drop down menu,

choose rectangle and choose center rectangle.

Start on the origin

and draw a square.

The square should be dimensioned four

by four [120 by 120 millimeters]

Finally go to the create group one more time and choose the center point circle.

Use the origin and draw a circle.
