Learn how to share a package with a multidisciplinary team in Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC) Model Coordination. This video covers the step-by-step process of packaging models and sharing them within a common data environment (CDE). Discover how shared packages enable seamless collaboration among discipline-specific teams, providing them with the latest coordinated models. Explore how this facilitates issue tracking, and ensures that all stakeholders have access to accurate and up-to-date information to drive project alignment and efficiency.
Video demonstration of Autodesk Docs and Design Collaboration: Project member level access; with edit permission level of own folder and a shared folder.
Any referenced datasets can be downloaded from "Module downloads" in the module overview.

00:08
collaborate their designs with other disciplines,
00:12
create a package of a Revit project model,
00:15
and share a package with the wider team in a BIM project.
00:19
So that you can create and share packages with other disciplines,
00:23
download both of the dataset models,
00:26
the architectural and the structural revit files,
00:30
and collaborate them both
00:31
to the work in progress folder for the architecture and for the structural company.
00:38
To share your model externally with other teams in product picker,
00:42
click Design Collaboration at the top of the screen.
00:46
Click the 3 dots to expand the swim lanes and fully expand by clicking the down arrow.

Click structural Company to access the space as a structural company team.
01:15
You can see your model name under models and notice how when you uploaded the model,

it created a small filled square on your timeline.
01:23
To create a package,
01:25
click on the circle that looks like a circle with the plus inside.
01:30
And on the left hand side of the screen,
01:32

01:35
and click to select your model.
01:36
If you wish to share documents or drawings,
01:40
you can also share them by clicking them now.
01:42
In the bottom left of the screen,
01:44
click Save to save the package.
01:47
Expanding the timeline again,
01:49

01:52
This is your package.
01:54
As yet it is unshared and only your team can see it.
01:58
Click share and name the package as structural Package 1
02:03
and add the description
02:04
structural model Complete for coordination.
02:09
Click share to complete the process,
02:12
and notice the circle has filled blue and now also has a
02:15
solid outline and also notice how the original model is square,
02:20
a great way to observe the difference in what you've produced so far.
