Use parts in simulations

Constructing a building efficiently requires works to be carried out in parallel. Objects are commonly modeled as complete elements when they will actually be built in a series of smaller tasks. Using parts in Revit enables these large objects to be divided to represent the individual work stages required for construction. Tasks can then be assigned to each part in the simulation, giving a more accurate representation of the time required and allowing parallel tasks to be simulated more accurately.

After completing this video, you’ll be able to:

  • Review the model for simulation inaccuracies.
  • Use parts to improve simulations accuracy.
