Return to work: Social Distancing Analysis

Module overview

Many companies face the challenge of returning their workforce to the production floor in this new era of enforced social distancing. Before we start rearranging the factory layout, it is essential to document and analysis the current location and position of our most precious assets, our people. While automated robots and machines are designed to function in hostile conditions and tight quarters, the personnel who operate them are susceptible to the spread of infectious disease. Cramped workspaces, that in the past served to maximize limited real-estate must now be re-addressed to ensure employees maintain a safe and healthy separation from one another.

This module takes approximately 30 minutes to complete. By the end of the module, you should be able to:

  • Review the current factory layout in 2D and establish personal boundaries for safe separation
  • Conduct a static 3D clearance analysis between all your workers
  • Perform an analysis of workers in motion as they move throughout the facility
