Adding files to a Vault

Adding files to a Vault with the Inventor Vault Add-in

Steps covered in the video:

  1. Start by opening the file directory within Inventor. Click File, then Open. It should open into the file workspace of the Inventor project. To move existing files into Vault Instance, they need to be in the project workspace within the directory. If you see a warning, it’s due to the enforcement of a consistent work file configured in a previous video. Wherever these files are stored, copy or cut them into the workspace and then close the directory. 
  2. Navigate to File, then Vault Server. Hover over the down arrow (underneath Undo Check Out) to scroll down. Select Check-In Project. This will scan the workspace for any projects not checked in. 
  3. Visually check your files before checking them in, then click OK.
