At this point in our lesson, we have completely programmed our part and are ready to save NC Code to be sent to our machine.
00:16
As we've discussed throughout this class, simulations in FeatureCAM drive the NC Code calculation.
00:23
So now that we have run our final simulation, we can navigate to the NC Code tab of the Results pane and verify the code that we've just created.
00:32
Select Save NC and check the directory that we will be saving our code to.
00:38
As you may recall from the last lesson, the Save NC window gives us the option to save a number of different things in addition to our NC Program.
00:49
For this example, let's save a tool list of all setups along with our NC Code.
00:55
This will generate a text-based file that our operator can reference when setting up our part for machining.
01:03
So with tool list of all setups and NC program selected, hit "OK".
01:08
And we can see that our files have been saved successfully.
01:13
With that, we have completely worked through lesson 2.
01:17
As always, before moving on, I highly recommend that you take the time to reprogram this part on your own.
01:25
Once you've mastered the options we've covered in these videos, feel free to take things a step further and experiment with different ways to program the same part.
01:35
Once you've had time to explore this lesson thoroughly, feel free to move on to lesson 3, where we'll take an introductory look at programming parts for lathes with live tooling.
