Learn how to enable and disable Company Admin access

00:08

Company level admins have access to all productions and all folders by default.

00:14

However, if you're a production admin,

00:16

you'll have the ability to restrict their access

00:18

to either your production or specific folders.

00:21

only.

00:24

Importantly, this change in access is a two step process,

00:28

the first of which can only be done by a company admin.

00:32

So it's important that production admins and company

00:34

admins coordinate prior to attempting to make this change.

00:38

Before making any changes to access,

00:40

make sure that your production has a team of admins assigned at the

00:44

production level, which you can check here in the managed teams family.

00:52

This team will become the highest level admins.

00:54

Once the company admins have been removed,

00:58

the first step in restricting access requires a company admin

01:02

to navigate to the company settings in the administration tab.

01:06

Here they'll find a toggle for allow

01:08

production admins to disable company made access,

01:13

turning this on grants the production admins access

01:16

to the settings they need to change.

01:18

In order to proceed with removing company admins

01:21

without doing this step,

01:22

the production admins will not be able to make

01:25

any changes to access for the company admin.

01:29

Now that it's been enabled.

01:30

Production admins can restrict the company admins access at

01:34

either the production level or on a specific port.

01:38

To remove them from a folder, head to the

01:40

security tab of the folder settings on the right,

01:44

then find the toggle Allow Company Admins Access

01:48

and turn it off.

01:49

Once you do this folder and any sub folders it

01:52

contains will become inaccessible to the company admins team.

01:56

If you'd like to remove company admins from your entire production,

01:60

select the production on the left and follow the same steps.
