Configuring rebar bends
Any referenced datasets can be downloaded from "Module downloads" in the module overview.
Configure rebar bends - Exercise
- Open Revit then the file STRUCTURAL.RVT (or open any Revit project you are working in).
- In the Project Browser, scroll down until you get to the Families category.
- Make sure all the categories are collapsed, as shown below.
- Scroll down until you see Structural Rebar.

- Drill into Structural Rebar.
- Drill into Rebar Hook.
- Double click onto Standard - 90 deg., as shown below, then click Duplicate….

- Call it Standard – 45 deg.
- Change the Hook Angle to 45 degrees.
- Click OK.
- Click OK.
- Double click on Stirrup/Tie - 90 deg.
- Click Duplicate.
- Change the name to Stirrup/Tie - 45 deg.
- Change the Hook Angle to 45 degrees.
- Click OK.
- Go back to Section 13.
- Select the footing.
- Click the Rebar button.
- Click Sketch Rebar.
- Draw a shape like the one shown below.

- In the properties, change the Hook at Start to Standard - 90 deg.
- Change the Hook at End to Standard - 45 deg.
- Click Finish Sketch.

- Your footing should look like the one illustrated below.
