Configuring Visibility Graphics

Configuring Visibility Graphics

Now it’s time to make sure we can see the bars in the views we want. We do this by setting the visibility graphics, as well as the actual visibility states of the physical bars themselves. In this segment, I’d like to configure the visibility graphics as well as which views we can and can’t see our rebar in.

- Open the model you have been working in.

- Go to your PIER-1 PLAN DETAIL view.

- Zoom in and select one of the piers (not the rebar, the actual pier)

- Click the Selection Box button to create a 3D view.

- Close the 3D view, and go back to the PIER-1 PLAN DETAIL

- Pick a window selecting all of the rebar you have modeled. In the order in which I select the window.

- In the properties, click Edit in the View Visibility States row.

- Check View unobscured and View as solid for the {3D} view and View unobscured for the South elevation.

- Open the {3D} view.

- Set the Detail Level to Fine and the Visual Style to Realistic.

- Go back to the plan detail.

- In the properties, go to Visibility Graphics.

- Scroll down to Structural Rebar.

- Change the Pattern override to as shown below.

-  Click OK and save the model.
