Use factory assets to create a factory layout in AutoCAD and Inventor
Module overview
The overall goal of this content series is to demonstrate the development of 2D and 3D factory layouts by leveraging assets from the Autodesk Factory Design Utilities. Learn how to create a 2D layout in AutoCAD using references to divide the overall layout into logical zones. It will also demonstrate how to use the Factory Design Utilities and the Asset Browser to locate layout components and generate conveyor chains. Finally, learn how to sync the layout to Autodesk Inventor to generate a complete 3D model, as well as sync back to 2D to amend the layout in AutoCAD.
This content series takes approximately 20 minutes to complete. By the end, you will have a strong understanding of:
- An introduction to using factory assets to create a factory layout in AutoCAD and Inventor
- Creating a 2D layout with AutoCAD and the factory design utilities
