Helping Users Find Learning Content

Now that your company has invested in Autodesk software and you have given software access to your users, there are a number of learning resources that Autodesk has made available for your users to start learning and expand their knowledge. The following content provides a summary of all the resources that they can access. This content has also been provided as a downloadable PDF that you can share with your users to get them started.

How to Access Learning Content

Autodesk provides many different learning resources that are aimed to get you productive with your software tool as quickly as possible. These resources are available on the Autodesk website through the Learn option, as shown below.

As a new user to your Autodesk software, the following resources are recommended to initially get you started. This document describes these resources and provides links to help you quickly access them.

As you become a little more experienced, you should consider the following two resources to further expand your knowledge.

To access all of these resources, you must be logged in using your account.

Customer Success Hub

Autodesk provides a convenient catalog of learning content and services to help you unlock the full potential of your Autodesk technology. These resources can be found in the Autodesk Customer Success Hub.

The Customer Success Hub provides access to Accelerators, in the form of either self-paced courses or pre-recorded expert coaching sessions, that help your teams quickly adopt best-practice Autodesk workflows. On this site you have access to the following:

  • Learning Paths with On-Demand Courses: These courses are structured, discipline-focused learning modules designed for busy professionals. They can be accessed on the Customer Success home page by clicking on the card shown below or by clicking the Courses.

  • Pre-Recorded Coaching: These videos are created by Autodesk experts to guide your team on the latest workflows. They can be accessed on the Customer Success home page by clicking on the card shown below or by clicking the Coaching tab.

  • Live Coaching: Autodesk offers live coaching sessions to companies with an Enterprise Business Agreement (EBA). Your teams can get personalized guidance on the latest Autodesk workflows directly from industry and product experts. Sessions can be tailored based on your team’s capabilities and typical project use cases. Details on this service can be found on the Coaching tab.
  • Consulting: Advisory & Implementation Services offer flexible access to the full breadth of Autodesk Consulting, from strategic advisors and solution architects to technical implementation experts. Details on this service can be found on the Consulting tab.

Autodesk Community

The Autodesk Community is a way for users to stay connected, share expertise, and stay up to date on the latest news, solutions, tips, and current software workflows from an expansive global network of customers, partners, and employees.

  • On the Community Resources home page, there are several menu options that you can choose from: Industry Communities, Blogs, Contribute, Social Media, and Get Answers. All of these options provide you with more ways to stay connected and learning.

  • Community pages allow you to subscribe to stay up to date and connected with the makers of Autodesk software. This is done by subscribing to Forums. (Click here to access a forum page to get you started with helpful posts.) On the Forum page, you can select product forums from the list, search for specific forums, or browse through the Other Forums and International lists by selecting their respective tab names.

  • Once you have selected a forum, you can review all the posts by scrolling through the list and reading topics that may be of interest, or you can use the search bar in the forum to enter keywords. Alternatively, you can subscribe to it and customize how you would like to be notified of posts. To subscribe, locate the forum and on its home page, expand Options and click Subscribe. Once selected, you will be prompted to further refine the boards that you would like to be notified of. You can choose to get notifications on all boards within the product forum or specify partial notifications on select boards.

  • Along with the forums, you can also explore joining a local User Group to learn, build relationships, and share your knowledge.
  • The Autodesk Idea Station is where you can share your ideas for improving the Autodesk products as well as submit product feature requests. The Idea Station and be accessed from the Forums main page and clicking on Ideas at the top of the products list.

Authorized Training Partners

The Autodesk Training page provides information on authorized training centers, academic partners, membership training providers, and Autodesk certified instructors. There are free tips and tricks, videos, and self-paced courses, as well as paid services for all levels of expertise.

Learning and Certification

Autodesk offers user certification exams to help you prove your skill by earning an industry-recognized certification. To support you in your preparation for certification, you can enroll in comprehensive learning courses. The Autodesk learning and certification home page is a quick view of everything you can accomplish. Please note that there is a cost associated with taking an exam; however, there is no cost to enroll in the learning content to prepare for the exam. At the top of the Certification home page, expand the Learning Offerings menu to access the two methods to locate and enroll in learning content to help you learn more about your Autodesk software.

  • Learning Pathways: Autodesk Learning Pathways offer self-paced, modular courses designed for a range of skill levels, roles, and career ambitions. Begin—or continue—the learning journey that’s right for you, at your own pace, on your own time. Learning pathways exist for architecture, engineering, and construction (for AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and Revit users), as well as product design and manufacturing. Once you select a Learning Path, multiple skill-builder courses will be presented that you can enroll in.
  • Explore our courses: This page allows you to explore all of the skill builder and certification prep courses that are available to you.
    • Skill builder courses are purpose-built to align to your career and certification goals. They deepen your knowledge and broaden your skill set with hands-on learning, lessons, practice exercises, and more.
    • Certification prep courses target your study time and practice for your certification exam with a series of challenging assignments and assessments that review the skills and information in the certification exam.

Explore Our Courses

On the Explore our courses page, you can use the search bar to search for content. You can also use the Filter area to filter the content by software, level, or what you want to do (as shown in the image below).

Scrolling down on this page provides a Featured learning section (as shown below). This section displays featured courses on individual cards.

Looking closer at an individual course card, you can do the following:

To start a course, click View overview, then click Get Started, as shown below.

As you progress through a skill builder or certification prep course, the system tracks your progress, allowing you to return to where you left off. To return to a course, click My Dashboard in the menu at the top of the home page. The tabs on this page provide quick access to your learning pathways/courses (as shown below), certifications, bookmarks, or any course lists that you created.

Autodesk University

Autodesk University is an annual conference for Autodesk product users, giving them the opportunity to learn and connect with industry experts who are innovating in the fields of architecture, engineering, construction, design, manufacturing, and media and entertainment. For those users who can’t attend in person or want to learn from past conferences, the Autodesk University webpage is a great resource. It has recorded classes, class materials, and presentations of hundreds of classes in several disciplines and software.

  • In the upper-right corner of the website, use the search field to find classes. Once you have searched, you can refine the search by type (class or article), product, industry, topic, conference, and year, if needed.

  • You can also expand the Discover menu to explore other products, topics, and other learning resources.
