Display dynamic data using fields
Fields in AutoCAD are a powerful way to create text that dynamically update to reflect changes to the drawing or other external factors. Fields act as a placeholder used to display information that may be subject to frequent updates.
After completing this video, you will be able to:
- Use annotation fields to display dynamic data.
- Create and edit dynamically updated mtext that reflects a drawing’s last saved time.
- Display the area of an object using fields and dynamically update the data as you edit the object.
Any referenced datasets can be downloaded from "Module downloads" in the module overview.
