The East Bank project—located in the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, London, United Kingdom—provided a rare opportunity to push the boundaries of what's possible in terms of building information modeling (BIM) collaboration and digital delivery. With more than 280 live intelligent models across five buildings, Allies and Morrison, BuroHappold, and Mace had to establish a digital strategy that could facilitate collaborative working across an international team, with a wide range of skills across 70 design and construction teams. This presentation will start from the humble beginnings in the early concept stages, and will take you through the evolution of the BIM strategy over eight years.
