BIM has transformed construction by creating a project database that allows teams to make real-time, data-driven decisions. By integrating our intelligent model with the Autodesk Build Assets feature, our team was able to develop an efficient digital workflow that has tracked progress from design to installation for civil and structural construction, including various scopes such as underground utility installation and structural foundations. This session will explore how to use the Autodesk Build Assets feature to develop a digital progress model from either a 3D model or a 2D plan sheet, and how to automatically extract quantities from it that can be used for financial forecasting, project scheduling, and progress billing. We’ll also discuss how we’ve integrated the Asset model into a Power BI dashboard that gives visibility to all levels—from the on-site field team up to senior management.
